In the U.K. it is possible to contact the National Lottery with ideas for new games. Takala submitted a proposal for a new kind of scratch card called Friends For Life, based upon a pre-existing format where the winner receives a large sum of money yearly ‘for life’. Winning the lottery is potentially very destabilising, so sharing the prize with a friend would mean being able to share the experience as well as the responsibility.
